Dubai International Airport shattered previous benchmarks by processing a historic 95.2 million travelers throughout the year—a 3.1 percent surge compared to 2024 and the facility's highest annual throughput ever recorded, according to figures from a local news agency.
Aircraft operations climbed 3.3 percent to reach 454,800 movements, while the airport's global connectivity expanded to encompass 291 destinations spanning six continents, with service provided by 108 international carriers, the news agency reported.
Meanwhile, the capital's aviation infrastructure posted equally impressive metrics. Zayed International Airport contributed to a collective passenger count exceeding 33 million across Abu Dhabi airports in 2025—an all-time high for the emirate. The flagship terminal alone processed 8.59 million passengers during the final quarter, representing a sharp 13.8 percent year-over-year increase, while freight operations throughout Abu Dhabi's airport network reached nearly 770,000 tonnes.
